How it started
In 2022, our co-founder Demetris was looking for a quality furnished apartment in Cyprus. He couldn't find one. Everything was either a tourist let with a two-week cap or an empty flat that needed months to set up. He and Yiannis decided to fill that gap.
Building the team
George and Kyrillos joined early, expanding from one city to Limassol, Paphos and Larnaca. The company raised €1.2M from Uni.fund, Genesis Ventures and Venteri Capital, and €430K in crowdfunding. Moving Doors became the largest provider of furnished apartments in Cyprus.
A new chapter
In 2024, Staycaee became Moving Doors. The rebrand marked a shift from a local operator to a platform built to scale. 94% occupancy.
Crossing over
In 2025, Moving Doors entered the Greek market, launching in Athens and bringing the model that worked in Cyprus to a new city.
Where we are going
In March 2026, Moving Doors closed its Series A, backed by Golden Age Capital. The roadmap: 3,500+ homes across Greece and Cyprus, and a platform built to scale with every city we enter.
